The Alleghany Music Company was formed in November 1999 to offer a variety of music services which would combine our love of traditional music and eagerness to play and share it. We offer several forms of instruction in both individual and group settings. If you would like to record your music, we can book the studio and engineer the recording, supply studio musicians, make arrangments of your tunes, or actually produce your entire CD or cassette project. Please call or e-mail us with any questions.

We offer a program entitled "Echoes of the Blue Ridge", an entertaining and educational program ideal for libraries, schools, churches, senior and civic groups. Please click the "Echoes of the Blue Ridge" page in the navigation bar to the left for a more complete description of the program.

Steve's specialty is flatpicking guitar tunes such as "Black Mountain Rag", "Alabama Jubilee", "Sweet Georgia Brown", and about 2000 fiddle tunes, however bluegrass and old-time music can also be played for your special occasion.
